Alumni Salary Median Highest Among Midwest Private Colleges

Worthy Return: Rose-Hulman graduates each year find worthwhile jobs that pay higher average salaries than other colleges and universities.

Rose-Hulman leads all Midwest colleges and universities when it comes to having graduates that earn the highest median salaries, according to The Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education 2016 College Rankings.

The median salary of Rose-Hulman graduates was found to be $79,000 a year, after analyzing two years of data from the U.S. Education Department, which tracked graduates' earnings 10 years after they entered college.

In The Wall Street Journal/THE College Rankings, Rose-Hulman was found to be higher than Kettering University (Mich.), which has an alumni median salary of $76,100; University of Notre Dame, $69,700; Illinois Institute of Technology, $68,700; Case Western Reserve University, $67,800; Milwaukee School of Engineering, $65,700; Missouri University of Science and Technology, $64,800; Northwestern University, $64,200; University of Chicago, $63,400; Washington University in St. Louis, $62,500; Michigan Technological University, $60,700; Creighton University, $57,400; University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, $56,600; Purdue University-West Lafayette, $53,400; South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, $51,400; University of Illinois-Chicago, $51,300; University of Wisconsin-Madison, $51,300; Michigan State University, $49,800; University of Iowa, $48,900.
