Dieter Schultz

Dieter Schultz is a Midwest native from Dyer, Indiana, and graduated from Lake Central High School. During his years at Rose-Hulman, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering (2016) and a Master of Science in Engineering Management (2017). He was a member of the varsity soccer team, where he served as team captain and competed in three NCAA tournaments. 

Dieter currently lives in Houston, Texas, and serves as an Associate Director of Industry Sustainability at Capgemini. Formerly, he held roles at ExxonMobil, ARCO National Construction, and Entergy. Dieter serves as an officer on the Rose-Hulman Alumni Association Advisory Board. Additionally, he is a member of the 2025 Energy Generation Executive Development Program at The Energy Leadership Institute.  

As an ambassador, Dieter is committed to engaging with prospective students and their families to share how Rose-Hulman has positively impacted his career and life.

Melva Holt

Melva Holt is a native of Evansville, Indiana, and graduated from William Henry Harrison High School. While at Rose-Hulman, she was deeply involved in campus life, serving as a Sophomore Advisor, tutoring through the AskRose Homework Help program, and leading as President of the National Society of Black Engineers chapter She also worked as a tour guide for the Office of Admissions and participated in various organizations, including AIChE and Circle K. In 2002, Melvia earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering along with a Consulting Engineering Certificate.

 

Melva currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia, and is the CEO & Founder of PAISE Leadership, a boutique leadership development coaching and consulting firm. Prior to starting PAISE Leadership, she held roles at General Mills and Kaman Industrial Technologies (now Motion Industries). Melva serves as an officer on the Rose-Hulman Alumni Association Board and as a mentor in the Atlanta Hawks SheLEADS mentoring program. 

Melva is passionate about empowering other to achieve their goals and is dedicated to helping prospective students and their families see how Rose-Hulman serves as a force multiplier for both college and long-term career success.

Amanda Stapleton

Amanda Stapleton spent her primary school days in Durham, North Carolina, and moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, for secondary school where she graduated from Sycamore High School. She returned to Cincinnati several years ago after spending time in the United Kingdom on secondment. She is currently a Systems Engineering Director with Northrop Grumman, leading engineers across several U.S. sites.

Amanda previously led various engineering and program management initiatives with Belcan, Rockwell Collins (now Raytheon), and Rolls-Royce. She applies skills learned from her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in 2006 and added master’s degrees in project management, business administration, and business analytics from Penn State University and Indiana University, Kelley School of Business. She is currently pursuing an Master of Science in Law from Northwestern University.

During her time at Rose-Hulman, Amanda earned varsity letters as a soccer player, finishing her career ranked fourth in program history with 11 assists. She was an active member of the Society of Women Engineers student chapter, including serving as president. She was also a member and officer of the Delta Delta Delta sorority while on campus. Currently, Amanda serves as vice president of the Alumni Advisory Board and has contributed to Women’s History Month activities on campus, including participating in Power of Women in STEM panel discussions with current students.

Kedar Murthy

Kedar Murthy is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, and graduated from Walnut Hills High School. He has become a leader in the development of fuel cell technology, using technical and problem-solving skills learned while earning a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering in 1984 and a master's degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Wisconsin. He also has gained expertise in e-commerce, logistics, and supply chain management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management.

Since 2021, Kedar has been the Chief Commercial Officer of Nuvera Fuel Cells overseeing strategy, commercialization, and aftermarket service for the Boston-based company’s cost-effective fuel cell solutions for commercial and industrial mobility applications. He has more than two decades of general management experience at both large and small companies and in the commercialization of new technologies.

Kedar has supported Rose-Hulman as past president of the Alumni Association and chairing the Alumni Advisory Board’s career services and nominating committees.

Mike Chaney

Mike Chaney lives in Cincinnati, Ohio, after spending 38 years of service in a variety of leadership positions across Procter & Gamble’s divisions, brands, and regions. He retired as Senior Vice President of Global Grooming, managing manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain design for 17 production plants and five technical centers across the world. These operations provided products for such iconic brands as Gillette, Venus, Braun, and the Art of Shaving.

Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with magna cum laude honors from Rose-Hulman in 1981. He began his engineering career in research development at Procter & Gamble, progressing through diverse roles in engineering, manufacturing, and product supply. Over his tenure, he contributed to multiple business groups, including food and beverage, health care, baby care, beauty care, and grooming.

Mike has played a key role in recruiting and mentoring several Rose-Hulman alumni to join Procter & Gamble. He has also established a scholarship to support first-generation students attending Rose-Hulman and currently serves as chair of the Alumni Advisory Board’s awards committee.
