Welcome, Class of 2029 and Transfers!

New Student Orientation is designed to welcome all of our incoming first-year, transfer, and international students to the Rose‑Hulman community.

WELCOME, CLASS OF 2030 AND TRANSFERS!

Your Rose-Hulman Experience Starts Here!

New Student Orientation is a large and exciting program to welcome all our incoming first-year and transfer students to the Rose-Hulman community.  You will arrive on campus ahead of returning students, so you have time to get to know us and learn about all the campus resources that are available to you…you will also meet new friends and have A LOT of fun!

New Student Orientation will start on Friday, August 28, and run through Wednesday, September 2, 2026. Move-in for new students will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, August 28.

The New Student Orientation Schedule will be available in late May.

The 2026-2027 Guide to Thrive will be available early this summer.

For International Students

New international students should plan to move in on Tuesday, August 25. We will provide a shuttle service from the Indianapolis International Airport on that day only.  Shuttle times will be sent to you later in the summer. You will attend a special pre-New Student Orientation program called International Transitions, on Wednesday and Thursday, and on Friday morning, August 26-28. You’ll enjoy programs and activities specific to your needs and experiences as a student who is international before participating in the general New Student Orientation. This program is required for all F-1 and J-1 students; other international students or students living abroad are welcome to attend.  We encourage families to contact global@rose-hulman.edu about any visa, arrival, and International Transitions questions.

For Parents and Families

Because parents and families need orienting too!

Parent and Family Orientation is scheduled to take place starting at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, August 28, and will conclude in the early afternoon on Saturday, August 29.  You will enjoy two days on campus getting to know faculty and staff, meeting other parents, and spending time with your student before they begin their Rose-Hulman Career!

The Parent and Family Orientation Schedule will be available in late May.
