Our Human Performance Services staff want to help you get the most from Rose‑Hulman. Doing your best means feeling your best, and we can help you get in shape, or stay in shape. We look forward to seeing you in the SRC!

We can Help!

Want to use a bike, elliptical, or a treadmill? How about free weights or reflectorized weight equipment? The SRC has what you need! We have nearly 80 pieces of state-of-the-art equipment in our cardio and weight rooms. If you are new to fitness or want to continue your current exercise program, check out all the SRC has to offer!

Where are exercise classes held?
A: All classes currently meet in the SRC Multi-Purpose room.

Do I need to sign-up for the classes in order to participate?
A: No. Classes are open to the Rose-Hulman Community. Anyone wishing to participate simply show up for the desired class and sign-in. All participants must designate their affiliation with Rose-Hulman.

What does my fitness level need to be in order to attend classes?
A: The classes are designed for all ages and fitness levels. 

Do classes meet during breaks?
A: It depends on the break. The easiest way to remember is as follows: Classes will not meet during campus holidays. If the campus is closed, then the SRC is closed as well.

Welcome to the virtual age of fitness! Fitness On Demand offers you unparalleled variety and modernizes your fitness plan. With FOD, we can now live stream the most popular group fitness classes. We offer P90X, INSANITY, daily burn, GymRa, Zumba, YogaFit, cathe, and more!

We are not doing away with live instructors, just adding another avenue to provide quality group fitness classes for you to enjoy!

Zumba uses both dance and aerobic elements in choreographed movements to get maximum aerobic impact. Most choreography incorporates hip-hop, salsa, merengue, and kickboxing movements. Squats, lunges, arm and shoulder, as well as core exercises are integral part of this class.

Yoga, the oldest form of practical aid exercise, is an ancient art based on combining physical movement to our deepest breath. The practice of this simple principle brings body awareness, challenges our strength, flexibility and most importantly, improvement to all our vital systems.

Taught in many modalities and styles, our classes are all levels, with beginners always welcome. 

Each student will learn adjustments and suitable modifications for specific needs. Mats are provided or feel free to bring your own. 

Classes help build confidence to incorporate techniques in sustaining homeostasis for everyday life. With overall improvement in health, balance, and happiness for either gender at any age! 


When: Monday and Tuesday - 12:15 - 1:00 p.m.

Where: SRC Multipurpose Room

HIIT class is a total body, heart pumping, aerobic and strength conditioning workout. This interval-based class combines full-body strength training with high intensity cardio bursts designed to tone your body, improve your endurance and clear your mind! Modifications for all fitness levels are provided.

TRX is a suspension training system that leverages gravity and your bodyweight to perform hundreds of exercises.

Ryan Brimberry

Ryan Brimberry

Ryan Brimberry has been serving as Rose-Hulman’s Director of Sports and Recreation Facilities since 2014. He oversees the Sports and Recreation Center, which hosts more than 300 events each year, including athletic events, external organization events, major campus events, and Homecoming and Commencement festivities.

He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in recreation and sport management from Indiana State University.  He served as an intern at Rose-Hulman for one year and was a two-year graduate assistant prior to joining the Fightin' Engineers on a full-time basis in 2007.
