Our Human Performance Services staff want to help you get the most from Rose‑Hulman. Doing your best means feeling your best, and we can help you get in shape, or stay in shape. We look forward to seeing you in the SRC!

Want to use a bike, elliptical, or a treadmill? How about free weights or reflectorized weight equipment? The SRC has what you need! We have nearly 80 pieces of state-of-the-art equipment in our cardio and weight rooms. If you are new to fitness or want to continue your current exercise program, check out all the SRC has to offer!

Where are exercise classes held?
A: SRC Multi-Purpose Room and the SRC Natatorium

Do I need to sign-up for the classes in order to participate?
A: Only the SPIN classes require preregistration

What does my fitness level need to be in order to attend classes?
A: The classes are designed for all ages and fitness levels. 

Do classes meet during breaks?
A: It depends on the break. The easiest way to remember is as follows: Classes will not meet during campus holidays. If the campus is closed, then the SRC is closed as well.

Group Fitness Class Descriptions

Strength by Design- This class provides an opportunity to improve muscular strength and cardiac health for the whole body in a fun and energetic way. Class materials used include hand weights, medicine balls and body weight resistance. All abilities are welcome, class length is 45 minutes.

TRX- The TRX system or total resistance exercise refers to premium suspension trainers that use your own body weight to build and develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability. Class length is 45 minutes.  

Spin- High intensity cycling workout that can be modified to fit any fitness level.  Class length is 45 minutes.

Circuit Rush- Build muscle, strength and endurance in this circuit-based class which allows you to move to different exercise stations to achieve a well-rounded workout in just 45 minutes.  

Go for HIIT- Join us for a High Intensity Interval Training session that uses a fun mix of energizing exercises with periods of rest to get your body moving in a healthy way.  Class length is 45 minutes.

Cardio Boxing- Burn calories and enjoy a great stress relief for the mind and body set to the beat of music.  This class combines traditional training movements with performed sequences of aerobic training.  Class length is 45 minutes.

GLOFIT- Enjoy cardio dance fitness combined with strength training in the fun atmosphere of black-lights and music.  Class length is 45 minutes.

YOGA- Interested in increasing flexibility, muscular strength and tone?  Then roll out your yoga mat and step into 45 minutes of relaxation, increased vitality and improved energy.

Seth Woodason

Director of Recreational Sports and Athletic Facilities, Seth Woodason has a total of more than nine years of experience at Rose-Hulman where he has advanced the institute's health and fitness priorities. While earning his master's degree in recreation and sports management at Indiana State University, Seth served as a graduate assistant at Rose before returning to campus full time in 2015. He earned his undergraduate degree from Harding University and also attended the University of Evansville and Gonzaga University.
