Vigo County Public Library's Youth Services Department and West Library Branch are hosting an Oregon Trail Program along the Wabashiki walkway between Dewey Point and Fairbanks Park on Saturday, May 2, 2026. The program runs from 10:00am ??? 2:00pm with volunteers needed from 9:30am ??? 3:00pm. Volunteers will be stationed along the trail to tell participants passing by that they have drown in a river, died of dysentery, been poisoned, etc. There will be down time between travelers and you can enjoy the scenery, study, read a book, contemplate the meaning of life or whatever you would like.
