Rose-Hulman Drama Club Presenting “Little Shop of Horrors” Oct. 24-26
Monday, October 20, 2025

Rose Drama Club will present three performances of its fall musical "Little Shop of Horrors" during Rose-Hulman's Family Weekend Oct. 24-26.
Rose Drama Club is proud to present its fall musical "Little Shop of Horrors" on Friday, October 24 at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26, both at 1:30 p.m. in Rose-Hulman's Hatfield Hall Theater.
"Little Shop of Horrors" follows meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn (Noah Marino) as he stumbles across a new breed of plant he names "Audrey II" (Riley Vallier) – after his coworker crush (Sabrina Alberty). This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down-and-out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II's out-of-this-world origins and intent towards global domination. This dark comedy features a cast of unforgettable characters that will have audiences laughing until the very end. Remember, whatever you do – don't feed the plants!
The cast also includes fellow Rose-Hulman students Ian Frenesmeier as Mr. Mushnik, Dayne Meyers as Orin Scrivello, Hannah Ritchhart as Crystal, Kayla Baker as Chiffon, and Lila Ward as Ronette. Braden Rush and Lucy Martine will fulfill the roles of Ensemble 1 and 2, respectively.
Directed by Trevor Hanson, this deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical has devoured the hearts of theatre-goers for over 30 years. Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney's "The Little Mermaid," "Beauty And The Beast," and "Aladdin") are the creative geniuses behind what has become one of the most popular shows in the world.
"It is truly amazing to see the level of talent these engineering students have," said Hanson, the director of Rose Drama Club and Hatfield Hall production assistant. "I am always impressed by the abilities of these students, and this show is no exception."
Hanson continued, "This dark comedy deals with fame and love, and the lengths someone will go to in order to get and keep those things. This show will make people think, but will also keep them laughing through the entire show."
Tickets are currently available for all performances of "Little Shop of Horrors," and are $20 for adults and $15 for youth under 18. Tickets can be purchased online at hatfieldhall.com, by calling the ticket office at 812-877-8544, or by visiting the Hatfield Hall ticket desk Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. If tickets are still available, they may also be purchased at the ticket desk beginning one hour before each show.
