• How we achieve the course goal.
• When we will meet.
• Your responsibilities.
• �The hat� and the balance between a realistic simulation and a positive learning experience.
   
2. Students introduce themselves.
    
3. I�ll collect your confidential preferences for who you want in your group.
    
4. I�ll pass out the papers for Project 1.

After our first meeting you should:

1. If you are thinking about dropping the seminar,
   please let me know immediately after class.
    
2. Read the material at the seminar web site:
      www.rose-hulman.edu/Class/cs/cs490_machine_game_playing/
   
   Pay particular attention to:
• The grading plan and your responsibilities.
• How to present a paper (that someone else wrote).
   
3. Look for email Monday night (by 10 p.m.) with the group assignments
   and paper-presentation assignments.
    
4. Prepare for subsequent meetings.
