Rose POWER: Build, Create, and Innovate
Imagine. Design. Build.

At Rose POWER, you’re not just dreaming about the future—you’re building it. This hands-on summer camp at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology is designed to empower girls to explore innovation and engineering, as well as all students who want to build any widget or gadget they can imagine, but have not had experience in a makerspace.

What Is Rose POWER?

Rose POWER is a week-long, immersive camp that invites you to roll up your sleeves and build anything you can imagine—from creative gadgets and interactive projects to fully functioning prototypes. You’ll work in Rose-Hulman’s state-of-the-art innovation labs, guided by college mentors, engineers, and educators who are passionate about helping you explore your potential.

What You’ll Do
  • Design and build your own creations using tools, materials, and technology in Rose-Hulman’s Branam and Kremer Innovation Centers.
  • Learn from inspiring mentors—college students and faculty who will help you think like an engineer, designer, and problem-solver.
  • Collaborate with peers who share your curiosity and creativity.
  • Grow your confidence as you bring your ideas to life in a supportive, inclusive environment.
Why Rose POWER?

Because the world needs your ideas, Rose POWER helps students—especially young women—discover how powerful their creativity and technical skills can be. This isn’t just about learning how to build a widget or gadget; it’s about realizing you can make things that matter.

Who Can Attend

Designed to empower rising 10th and 11th graders, with a special focus on young women ready to innovate, design, and lead in STEM but have not had experience in a makerspace. All rising 10th and 11th grade students are welcome!

This camp is designed to empower young women to use equipment with confidence. No prior experience is required—just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to explore new ideas.
