Dr. Russ Warley joined the faculty of the Chemical Engineering Department in 2017 while also serving as Dean of Faculty for the Institute. He came to Rose after 13 years at Penn State Erie, the Behrend College where he served as a Mechanical Engineering faculty, Chair of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering and most recently as Interim Director of the School of Engineering. Dr. Warley holds a BS from the University of Akron and a PhD from Case Western Reserve University, both in Chemical Engineering. Prior to joining academia he worked for 20 years in industry in the area of elastomer materials and processing. Seventeen of those years were spent at LORD Corporation supporting manufacture of aerospace components such as vibration isolators, dampers, and elastomeric bearings. He also worked at Cabot Corporation as a researcher in the area of carbon black.
