Dr. Amanda Ross completed her Ph.D. in Engineering Education at Virginia Tech, where she also earned an M.Eng. in Computer Science with a concentration in Software Engineering. Her research focuses on computer science education, with an emphasis in gendered differences in student experience within CS environments. Amanda is passionate about enhancing the student experience in computing disciplines, with particular interest in fostering a sense of belonging, increasing awareness of academic and professional pathways, and addressing common misconceptions and biases in CS. Outside of her academic work, she is a runner, an avid baker, and a dog mom.
