Unleash your potential with KEEN Leadership Advancement!

Helping tomorrow’s leaders optimize their
leadership talents and strengths, and create
value for their institutions through effective
leadership practices.

Harnessing the creativity of the entrepreneurial mindset means having leaders in engineering who understand the value of curiosity, connections and creating value. KEEN Leadership Advancement is a leadership experience for active KEEN participants. It includes both an online, interactive component and a two-day in-person engagement with fellow future leaders.

Joining this leadership experience will unleash your potential. As a participant, you’ll:

  • Create a Leadership Development Plan
  • Build Your Professional Network
  • Expand Your Latent Leadership Skills

Using role-playing, guided reflection, group discussion and other teaching methods, KEEN Leadership Advancement will help tomorrow’s leaders optimize their leadership talents and strengths, and create value for their institutions through effective leadership practices. The in-person experience will take place at The Union 525 in downtown Indianapolis, just 14 minutes from Indianapolis International Airport and within walking distance of the conference hotel, The Alexander, and many fine dining options.

Key dates:

  • March 15 Application deadline
  • April 22 Online engagement begins
  • May 30-31 In-person experience in Indianapolis*
  • June 19 Reunion at ASEE Conference in Tampa, Florida

*Reimbursement for participants’ travel expenses is offered by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology through funding from KEEN.

About Your Facilitators

Professors Ella Ingram and Craig Downing are experienced educators and facilitators of successful higher-education workshops, including Making Academic Change Happen (MACH), a National Science Foundation-funded leadership seminar conducted at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Professor Xiaofeng “Denver” Tang is an expert on the topics of engineering ethics and entrepreneurship. His research areas also include global engineering education, history of engineering education and integrating engineering and liberal arts education.
