This is not a homework, but a challange, which may translate into a
project. It might be a good idea to generate some publicity in the
Coke Machine Project. How about if we hold a Rose-wide auction for the
first official web-purchase on the machine. Here is the challenge: We
could hold a regular auction, offering this opportunity to the highest
bidder. However, this would most likely prevent cash strapped students
from winning. Instead, how about some sort of raffle where everyone
buys tickets to get a chance to win the prize. The only problem is
holding a raffle over the web (and I think, whatever we do, we should
hold the "auction" over the web) seems impractical. How are you going
to collect the money for the raffle tickets? Any ideas? [I am hoping
to find some time over the christmas break to hook up a bulleting
board so that we can discuss these and other issues online.]
