Tool Time on CS-490

As part of your presentation grade, I would like each of you to give a presentation on a tool that is used for the web. If you want to pair or triple up, that will be fine, but then you have to tackle a more complex tool.

The presentations should be about 10 to 15 minutes long. If possible, you should demonstrate the tool, its power and limitations, as well as suggestions for improvements. All of this should also be written up on a web-page, which we will link up to the course page.

By Friday, December, 10th, send me a proposal for your presentation. The proposal has to include a title for your presentation, what tool you want to investigate and a couple of sentences on what sort of aspects of the tool you want to investigate.

When it comes to tools, be creative. To a certain degree even a web-site such as MySimon.com is a tool.

I will give you feedback on your proposal. If there are several proposals for one tool, and I feel that the tool does not deserve that much attention, I will give permission on a first-come-first-serve basis.
