The Future

Write a science fiction essay (about 2 to 3 pages) in which you imagine a world in the not-so-distant future. In particular, focus on how the future will be affected by the world-wide web. Pick an example or two, describe how it works and how it will change the way things are being done and discuss those changes.

I mentioned two examples in class. Also, have a look at the most recent issue of Wired Magazine (8.01, January 2000), starting at page 69, there is an article entitled The Wired Diaries 2000 in which they interviewed a couple of people about their thoughts on the future.
