MathPlot: A Minetest Mod for Plotting Mathematical Objects

I've developed a mod for Minetest, an open-source voxel game, that allows one to easily plot curves, surfaces, and solids in its three-dimensional world based on mathematical formulas.

Wiimote Planimeter

To show students an interesting application of Green's Theorem (my second most favorite theorem, a very close second after the Mean Value Theorem), I wrote some software that uses a Nintendo Wiimote to find the area of a real-life region based on the well-known formula \[ \text{Area}(D) = \frac{1}{2} \oint_{\partial D} x \, dy - y \, dx. \] It works by using the Wiimote's infrared camera to collect the boundary data of a region as it is traced by an infrared LED.

3D-Printed Objects

While at the University of Kansas, I had the opportunity to use a 3D printer to create tangible representations of some mathematical surfaces. (Thanks to Dr. Estela Gavosto.)
