Welcome, Class of 2024 and Transfers!

New Student Orientation is designed to welcome all of our incoming first-year, transfer, and international students to the Rose‑Hulman community.

Your Rose-Hulman experience starts here!

(Updated August 7, 2020)

Parents and Families

We are excited to welcome you and your son or daughter to Rose-Hulman in a few short weeks. By now, your student has had the opportunity to sign up for a 20-minute move-in timeslot on August 29 or August 30. Upon arrival, staff members will be available to help unload and carry your student’s belongings to their assigned residence hall room. Once unloaded, you will have the opportunity to help your student unpack and settle into their room. Remember, students are allowed to bring two guests to campus. More information about what to expect when you arrive on campus will be provided to your student prior to their arrival (encourage them to check their Rose-Hulman email and the Class of 2024 Moodle page).

While no formal programming for parents and families is scheduled for August 29 and 30, you will have the opportunity to take a campus tour, visit the bookstore, and enjoy some time with your student before they begin their exciting new adventure at Rose-Hulman. More details will be coming soon!

As always, do not hesitate to contact us with questions or concerns.

For International Students Arriving from Abroad

New students traveling to Rose-Hulman from outside of the United States will need to isolate and quarantine within the U.S. for 14 days.

  • Students wishing to quarantine on-campus should be at Rose-Hulman by August 12.
  • Students quarantining off-campus will follow the move-in and testing procedures outlined for the rest of the incoming class.

All international students must complete the arrival survey in the Class of 2024 Moodle course before August 7. After completing the survey Kristen Merchant, Associate Director of the Union and Student Activities Office, will be in contact to coordinate arrival information.
