Welcome, Class of 2025 and Transfers!

New Student Orientation is designed to welcome all of our incoming first-year, transfer, and international students to the Rose‑Hulman community.

Your Rose-Hulman Experience Starts Here!

New Student Orientation is a large and exciting program to welcome all of our incoming first-year and transfer students to the Rose-Hulman community. You will arrive on campus ahead of returning students, so you have time to get to know us and learn about all the campus resources that are available to you…you will also meet new friends and have A LOT of fun!

We plan to offer a full, in-person orientation experience to all our new students! However, we remain committed to the safety of our students and families and will make necessary adjustments (e.g., emphasizing social distancing, hosting virtual gatherings, adhering to masking mandates) in response to ongoing health concerns to ensure a positive experience for all attendees.

New Student Orientation is scheduled to take place Friday, August 27–Wednesday, September 1.

Move-in for new students will begin mid-to-late morning on Friday, August 27. Information sessions, open houses, and events for both families and students will take place throughout the day on Friday and will conclude for families around 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 28. New Student Orientation will continue for students through Wednesday, September 1.

Check out our tentative schedule of events.

More information will be provided as soon as it becomes available so check back often for the latest updates.

New International Students will attend a special pre-New Student Orientation program called International Transitions.

You will be welcomed to campus and, for most of you, the U.S. on Tuesday, August 24 by our student team of International Transition Mentors. On Wednesday and Thursday, August 25-26, our team of mentors and international program administrators will lead you through programs and activities specific to your needs and experience as an international student. You’ll explore the campus and local area, learn about life at Rose, and meet new people and make friends!

We will continue to monitor COVID restrictions that might impact your arrival on campus and will keep you informed.

We look forward to seeing you on August 24!”

Because parents and families need orienting too!

Parent and Family Orientation is scheduled to take place Friday, August 27 – Saturday, August 28.  You will enjoy two days on campus getting to know faculty and staff, meeting other parents, and spending some time with your student before they begin their Rose-Hulman career!

Check out a tentative schedule of events here.

We look forward to meeting you in August!
