Gabi on the volleyball court

Meet Gabi

Biomedical Engineering major from Durango, CO.

STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS YOU’RE INVOLVED IN:

Biomedical Engineering Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Varsity Volleyball, and Varsity Track & Field

WHAT IS YOUR DREAM JOB?

Developing medical devices that directly impact the patient, and being able to see that impact first-hand by interacting with the patient and getting their feedback on my product.

WHAT’S YOUR IDEAL WEEKEND?

Going home to three feet of fresh powder to ski, with some hot chocolate waiting for me at the end of theday.

STAR TREK OR STAR WARS?

Star Wars all the way

WHAT IS THE NERDIEST THING YOU DO?

I'd rather sit in my bed and read a book rather than go to a party.

FAVORITE ICE CREAM FLAVOR?

Anything with as much chocolate as possible.

WHAT’S THE BEST KEPT SECRET ON CAMPUS?

The best times to go to the Sports and Recreation Center to work out are around 1 p.m. or later in the eveningafter 7 p.m. That way, you avoid all of the sports teams that take up the weight room.
Quote

“I came to Rose-Hulman because I wanted the best education possible to set me up for a bright career, and the fact that I could play two sports (volleyball and track) that I love was an added bonus. Rose-Hulman has given me so many opportunities to thrive that I wouldn't have had anywhere else.”
