Dr. J. Kevin Kaufman is a neurosurgeon with Surgical Consultants of America in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He specializes in cerebrovascular, skull base and complex spine surgery, performing anterior cervical fusion and anterior lumbar interbody fusion, along with other surgical procedures for the treatment of neural/spinal conditions.
A 1987 Rose-Hulman graduate, Kaufman is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Association of Neurological Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, the American Medical Association, and several other professional organizations.
After earning his degree in chemical engineering from Rose-Hulman, Kaufman went on to graduate and medical school at West Virginia University where he was twice voted by his peers to serve as Medical School Class President. Kaufman also writes and lectures on topics from brain tumors to skull base surgery.
