  • IEEE: Photo Transistors & Soldering
  • ASCE: Bridge Building

TUESDAY, February 3, 2015 6-8:30 P.M.  Delphi Day- No Fee Required

  • Location: Myers Center
  • Help students construct automotive radios from kits

Delphi Day:
Engineers from Delphi Electronics and Safety, a top tier automotive parts manufacturer, will discuss what kinds of problems engineers tackle, why these problems are relevant to society, and how they rely on problem solving skills to create solutions to these problems. Besides learning about engineering careers, students will work in teams to construct automotive radios and learn about current technology from recent Consumer Electronics Show (CES) vehicles.

TUESDAY, March 17, 2015, 6-8:30 P.M.  Edible Engineering- No Fee Required

  • Location: Myers Center
  • Construct race cars from common food products

Edible Engineering:
Has anyone ever told you not play with your food?  Well, to learn about the engineering design process, students will work in teams to create the fastest cars out of various food products.  After having the opportunity to build and to test several designs, each team will participate in a final race to determine the fastest car.

TUESDAY, APRIL 28, 2015, 6-8:30 P.M.  STEM Fair- No Fee Required

  • Location: Moench Hall
  • Approximately 15 clubs sharing a unique science demonstration

STEM Fair:
Have you ever wondered how airplanes fly or why you get shocked with static electricity?   Did you know that boats could be constructed from concrete or that DNA could be extracted from everyday fruit?  Come explore these and many more questions with dozens of hands-on Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) activities.
