For each of the following videos or reading:

• Watch the video (or read the reading), and as you do so,
• do the associated quiz in Moodle.

Videos and Reading:

1. Range expressions
   • Read this document on Python's RANGE expression. It extends the 1-argument form that you know to the 2 and 3-argument forms.
2. Box-and-Pointer Diagrams
   • Video [9:22 minutes]
   • Optional reading: This handout on Box-and-Pointer diagrams covers the same material as the video, plus a little more.

3. Continue preparing for Exam 1 by completing and UNDERSTANDING the items that are your ADMISSION TICKET for taking Exam 1:

   1. The EXCELLENT Practice Problems for the On-The-Computer portion of Exam 1, in the Session06_Exam1_Practice project.
      • For each of these problems, if you reach its stated time limit and are not close to finishing the problem, STOP working on that problem and GET HELP on it.
   2. The problems in the Session05a_Debugging project.
      • They will be a HUGE help when you encounter run-time error messages during Exam 1.
      • Each problem is very short. For each, get help immediately if you don't quickly see how to debug it.
   3. The EXCELLENT Practice Problems for the Paper-And-Pencil portion of Exam 1.
      • You received paper copy of these in class during Session 5. Those same problems are also available here.
      • AFTER (!) doing each page of those problems, check your answers to the problems on that page via the Answer Key to those problems.

        • The Answer Key has the same page-by-page organization as the questions. Do a page of questions, then check your answers for (only) that page. Then do another page of questions, check your answers to that page, and so forth.

          Also, get a FRIEND to compare your answers to the posted answers. That way, if you get a problem wrong, your friend can suggest that you re-work the problem, starting at whatever point you first went wrong.
