Chemical Engineering is a broad field amenable to numerous industries, from petroleum, paper pulp and pharmaceuticals to polymers and semiconductors. The program's flexibility allows students to pursue independent research projects on topics such as surfactants, optimization of heat exchanger networks, adsorption, and phase equilibria of polar fluids.
In addition to being an opportunity to prepare for grad school, undergraduate research experience is valuable in preparing students for employment.
