White Background with Triangle Pattern

Course Descriptions

Our engineering design program offers an intensive hands-on education taught by experienced professors from both engineering and the humanities and social sciences. The program is designed to teach students the depth and breadth of the design process along with the necessary technical tools and professional skills to improve the world we live in. Engineering Design is an undergraduate program.

ENGD 250 - Engineering Design Studio V: Modeling and Communicating Integrated Designs

Continues with object-oriented programming concepts such as use of common object-based data structures, including stacks, queues, lists, trees, sets, maps, and hash tables. Space/time efficiency analysis. Testing. Introduction to UML. Crafting documents to meet the demands and constraints of professional situations; integrating all stages of the writing process; and collaborating effectively within and across teams will be emphasized. Systems engineering models will be used. Successful completion of both ENGD 240 and ENGD 250 meet the prerequisite requirements of RH 330 and CSSE 220. Students may not receive credit toward graduation for both ENGD 250 and either of RH 330 or CSSE 220.
