CSSE-230: Exam Information
Final Exam
- The final exam takes place on Thursday, February 22, from 8am -
11am in G220.
- The exam will focus on the materials from days 21 to 30. However, there
will be questions on the material from the entire quarter, including
questions that ask you to compare and contrast data structures for
different uses.
- Same ground rules as the first two exams.

Exam 2
- Exam 2 takes place on Friday, January 26 during class time. It
will take place in Olin 269.
- The exam will focus on the materials from days 11 - 19, however,
it will include materials from the term so far.
- Same ground rules as for the first exam.

Exam 1
- Exam 1 takes place on Thursday, December 21st, from
7pm-9:30pm. To compensate for the evening exam, we will not meet for
class on Friday, December 22nd.
- The exam will cover the materials from days 1 to 10.
- Here are the ground rules for the exam:
- All the work you turn in must be your own.
- You must not use any forms of communication or cooperation.
- Please turn your cellphones and other communications devices
to airplane mode.
- This is an open book exam:
- For any portion, you may look at the book whether hardcopy or
online.
- You may look at our CSSE 230 web-site and any page linked directly
from it.
- You may not search the web and you may not use ChatGPT or like
technologies during the exam.
- For the paper part, you may NOT run any applets nor any code.
- For the on-the-computer part, you may NOT copy any of the code
on your computer.
- You may look at any Java documentation.
- You must turn in the paper-and-pencil part, before using your
computer to start the on-the-computer part.
