You can get help on any of these problems during the CSSE lab assistant hours, or bring your questions to class.

Things to do

1. If you have not already done so, finish the HelloWorld exercise.
2. If you have not already done so, finish the JavaEyes exercise.
3. Skim/read Sections 4.1 through 4.7 of Chapter 4 from Big Java, and bring any questions about it to class:
   • Skim if the material is familiar to you, read it if Java is new to you or you need the refresher.
   • As you reach each Self Check problem at the end of each section, do the Self Check problem (in your head, no need to write anything down) and check your answer versus the answers at the end of the chapter.
4. Skim/read Sections 5.1 through 5.5 of Chapter 5 from Big Java, and bring any questions about it to class:
   • Skim if the material is familiar to you, read it if Java is new to you or you need the refresher.
   • As you reach each Self Check problem at the end of each section, do the Self Check problem (in your head, no need to write anything down) and check your answer versus the answers at the end of the chapter.
   • Pay particular attention to the discussion on equals in Section 5.2.
   • Pay particular attention to Section 5.5, on testing.
5. Do the Quiz on the BigInteger class on Angel, under Lessons ~ Quizzes.
