Installing ChemDraw on computers
running Windows XP. (This may work for other versions of Windows, but I
have not checked.)
1. Go to the CambridgeSoft
Website for the Rose-Hulman site license for the software.
2. Type your Rose-Hulman
email address into the Email Address entry pane, and click
Submit.
3. A new web page should load stating that “Your
Institution has set up a site license.” Click Continue.
4. If you have not already registered, click Register. The
web page will ask for information including a password. Fill in the
information, and create a password. Note that the web page does not ask
for verification of the password, so make sure that you know what it
is. (If you have already registered, enter your email address and
password.)
5. Download the
ChemDraw software for your operating system (Windows).
6. Run the Installer
program.
7. Enter the
required information into the dialog box. You should have received an
email with the serial number to enter shortly after registering for the
software.
8. Click Activate over
the Internet.
9. Click Next as
appropriate to complete installation of the software.
10. You should get a “successful
installation” message.
Installing ChemDraw on computers running Macintosh OS X.
1. Go to the CambridgeSoft
Website for the Rose-Hulman site license for the software.
2. Type your Rose-Hulman

6. Load the disk image (.dmg file) if necessary, and run
the Install ChemDraw Std
program.
7. Enter
the required information into the dialog box. You should have received
an email with the Serial number
and Registration code to enter
shortly after registering for
the software.
8. Click OK (or Proceed) as appropriate to complete
installation of the software.
9. You should get a “successful
installation” message.
