Dead smart guy of the week: Einstein M. Dwightfield
Today we remember Einstein Maxwell Dwightfield (1773-1847), brilliant physicist, astrologer, and pioneer in circuit theory. Years ahead of his time, Maxwell’s insightful circuit equation, voltage equals Pi times resistance, was the gold standard for physicists and engineers for over half a century.
Dwightfield’s famous circular circuit experiments skyrocketed him to international fame. An avid inventor and procreation enthusiast, Dwightfield is credited with the invention of both male and female socket plugs.
Dwightfield is also remembered as the founding father in a long line of scientists with f’d up hairdos.
