With his latest release seeing some acclaimed success, it’s more a question of is curiosity than anything of quality from this new release. I know for me, I had been mildly expectant of being able to review Kravitz’s latest, especially with such a powerhouse single as “I’ll be Waiting”. However, getting into the introduction track, “Love Revolution”, I saw only bad things on the horizon. To be fair, it’s okay. It’s even a good throwback to the Hendrix inspired rock, especially in “I Love the Rain”, but it falls short of being a good album and only being a decent one. “Good Morning”, “Love, Love, Love”, and the lead single are the saving grace of the album but even they fail to bring any serious acclaim to the album. This is not a must buy album and the fact it has seen so much acclaim is surprising, especially since I now have the pleasure of owning the blasted thing.
