Registration woes
Students at Rose-Hulman registered for their spring quarter classes from Monday, January 14 to Thursday, January 17. Registration is always a chaotic time for students as they try to juggle required classes, technical electives, labs, and humanities. Since Rose-Hulman is a small school, registration is often difficult. Many classes are only offered during one or two class periods, and it often ironically turns out that the classes the students want to take and the classes they have to take occur at the same time. Another challenge that often occurs is that the upperclassmen fill the popular humanities classes. The underclassmen who had decided to take these classes must now choose other classes that they may not be interested in taking. The good news is that since graduate students and seniors get to register first, registration gets easier as the years go by.
