TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology advanced to the championship game of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Tournament with a 4-2 victory over Manchester College on Wednesday.

With the victory, Rose-Hulman will host the HCAC Tournament championship game on Saturday, with the winning team earning a trip to the NCAA Division III Playoffs that begin next week.  The Engineers will host the winner of tonight's game between Transylvania and Mount St. Joseph.

Senior Julie Roebel (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) registered her fifth career hat trick to pace Rose-Hulman's offensive attack.  Roebel scored in the 10th, 18th and 76th minutes to give the Engineers a spark.

Liz Ridgway added the final tally of the Engineer win.

Senior Jennifer Gordon (Zionsville), who entered the match leading all NCAA Division III players in assists, provided the assist on all four goals in the victory.  Gordon has established a school record with 25 assists this year and holds the career school record of 48.

Junior Liz Ridgway (Grosse Pointe, Mich./Northwestern University) provided the remaining Engineer score with a rebound off the crossbar in the 23rd minute.

Roebel's first two tallies gave Rose-Hulman a 2-0 lead, then Ridgway's score pushed the lead to 3-0 at halftime.  Manchester closed within 3-1 on a goal by Kali Lauzon at the 73:27 mark.

After Roebel's final score increased the Engineer advantage to 4-1, Manchester's Paige Koomler scored with 1:43 left on the clock to close the Spartans within the final margin.

Senior Rachel Miller (Spring, Texas/Klein Collins) provided five saves in goal for Rose-Hulman, while Samantha Wade tallied six saves for Manchester.
