TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology women's soccer goalkeeper Rachel Miller (Spring,
Texas/Klein Collins) was named the Heartland Collegiate
Athletic Conference's Player of the Week for women's soccer.
Miller recorded shutout victories over Hanover
and Franklin to complete the regular season with a 0.14 goals
against average in HCAC play. The senior has not allowed a
goal in her last 576 minutes between the pipes, dating back to
the team's 3-1 victory at Transylvania.
On the season, Miller has a record of 17-2 with
an HCAC leading 0.55 goals against average and has recorded 42
saves.
The Engineer women's team claimed its first
regular season conference championship in the history of women's
athletics with a 17-2 mark and a perfect 8-0 record in
HCAC competition.
Rose-Hulman earned the No. 1 seed in the HCAC
Tournament and will host No. 4 seed Manchester on Wednesday at
2:30 p.m. at Jim Rendel Field.
