Jon Prevo

Jon Prevo enjoyed a historic
first season as women's basketball coach at Rose-Hulman and
enters his 14th year as a member of the Fightin' Engineer
athletic staff in 2007-08.
Prevo led the Engineers to a
21-5 record and a second-place Heartland Collegiate Athletic
Conference finish in his first season as head coach last winter.
The accolades included 19 total
school records, highlighted by the most wins and best women's
basketball conference finish in a season in school history.
Individually, Rose-Hulman players earned a pair of all-region awards
and two first-team all-conference honors.
Prior to serving as head coach, Prevo spent
12 years at Rose-Hulman as men’s basketball assistant coach and has
served as the college’s associate athletic director for five years.
The Engineer men’s basketball team had a record of 184-128 in
12 seasons under the work of head coach Jim Shaw and
Prevo.
Prevo became the fifth head women’s
basketball coach at Rose-Hulman. As associate athletic director, Prevo
serves as the athletic department compliance officer and
chairman of the college’s Athletic Hall of Fame Committee.
Prevo came to Rose-Hulman with Shaw after
serving as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Indiana State
University during the 1993-94 season. He previously served as
assistant basketball coach at the U.S. Military Academic in West
Point, N.Y., from 1991-93 and was an assistant at the University
of Evansville from 1989-91.
Prior to his college experience, Prevo
served as the head basketball and track coach at Cisne (Ill.)
High School from 1987-89, earning league basketball Coach of the
Year honors in 1987 and 1988.
Prevo earned a bachelor’s degree in
physical education from Indiana State in 1986 and completed
coursework towards a master’s degree in counseling at the
University of Evansville in 1990.

Pina Lissaman
* Assistant Women's Basketball Coach

Pina Lissaman begins her
second season on the women’s basketball staff as an assistant coach
this winter.
Lissaman enters her ninth
year coaching basketball after a distinguished career in New
Zealand. Her accomplishments include a national nomination as
Volunteer Coach of the Year and several provincial nominees for
Coach of the Year.
Lissaman led the men’s
basketball premier team to a provincial title and has also coached a
pair of under 18 women’s teams to first place finishes at the
national level.
Lissaman holds a bachelor’s
degree in political science from Canterbury University and a
Teaching Diploma at the elementary level.

Suzy Carlson
* Assistant Women's Basketball Coach
Suzy Carlson begins her
first season on the women’s basketball staff after completing a
historic career at Rose-Hulman.
Carlson graduated with
career school records in assists (320), three-point shooting (47.8%)
and free-throw percentage (89.0%). She ranks third all-time with
1,311 points and 154 steals and second with 153 three-pointers and
406 free throws.
Carlson earned a pair of
NCAA Division III statistical national titles for her shooting
accuracy, garnering the three-point crown in 2004-05 and the
free-throw title in 2005-06.
In the classroom, the
biomedical engineering major earned Dean’s List honors and was an
International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers member. She
currently works in the engineering department of Boston Scientific. |
