TERRE HAUTE, IND. --
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology improved to 10-5 on the season with a 22-25,
25-11, 25-11, 25-18 victory over Earlham College on Wednesday night at Hulbert
Arena.
Sophomore Karah Hickman
(Hobart) paced the Engineer offense with 13 kills. Junior Amanda
Jevons (Henderson, Nev./Rancho) added 11 kills without an error.
Freshman Priscilla Magee
(Princeton) also reached double figures with 10 kills and just two errors.
Sophomore Leah Pelzel
(Loveland, Ohio/ Mount Notre Dame) led the squad with 46 assists, four
service aces and a match high 12 digs.
Other key contributors for the
Engineers included senior Kate Sernett (Crystal Lake, Ill./Marian Central
Catholic) with nine digs; freshman Anna Lewer (Indianapolis/Lutheran)
with eight kills and eight digs; and junior Samantha Gregory (Huntsville,
Ala./Catholic) with seven digs.
Rose-Hulman stands 10-5 overall
and returns to action on Saturday with a noon home matchup against Defiance
College to open the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference schedule.
