       The College of Mount St. Joseph makes a return to the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament after a strong conference season that featured 10 league victories.
        The Lions offense features a pair of above .300 hitters, along with 48 doubles as a team.  Megan McCullough leads the offense with a .340 batting average and 32 hits.  Senior Ashley Stallkamp ranks aong the league leaders with five home runs and has a .505 slugging average, while Sara Rutschilling has hit at a .325 clip in 40 at bats. 
        Other key hitters for the balanced attack include Katie Cammerer (.286), Kristina Dennett (.275 with 10 doubles), Rae Glassmeyer (.266) and Casey Downey (.264).
        The Mount St. Joseph pitching staff features three key contributors who have all thrown between 55 and 77 innings.  Katie Cohill has a 5-3 record with three saves and a 2.14 earned run average.  Casey Brookbank (7-4, 2.93 ERA) and Katie Lawrence (1-9, 4.64 ERA) round out the rotation.  Lawrence has a team-high 39 strikeouts, while Brookbank has 37.
        Mount St. Joseph reached the tournament due to a strong conference season that was highlighted by sweeps of Anderson, Franklin, Hanover and Transylvania.
