BOX SCORE

TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- The College of Mount St. Joseph relied on three runs in the first inning to remain alive in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Tournament with a 6-3 victory over Bluffton University on Friday night.

Ashleigh Stallkamp blasted a bases loaded double to score all three first inning runs for the Lions to give the No. 4 seed the early lead.  Mount St. Joseph later added one run in the second and two in the sixth to secure the victory.

Katie Cohill tossed the complete game in the circle for Mount St. Joseph, scattering six hits and five walks but allowing just two earned runs to improve to 6-4 on the season.

The Bluffton offense was led by Mollie Brown with two hits, including a double and one run scored.  Abby Snider added a single and scored one run for the Beavers.

Mount St. Joseph improved to 16-22 on the season and returns to action at noon on Saturday against the loser of tonight's fourth game.  Bluffton completes the season with a record of 25-17 and a regular season conference co-championship.
