Brad Hauter has led the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's and women's soccer programs to record setting levels during his coaching career at the college.

Hauter, in his seventh year as women's coach and fifth year as men's coach, has helped establish Rose-Hulman as one of the top teams in the Great Lakes Region.  The women's soccer team has recorded five consecutive winning seasons, while the men set a school record with a 15-4-1 mark and a second-place league finish in 2006.

His 2003 women's team finished with a school record 13-4-2 mark, and his overall Engineer women's mark stands at 67-36-6 as the college enters its second year in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Both teams have also been regionally ranked during the last three seasons by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

In the summer of 2003, he traveled across the country from San Francisco to New York on a lawn mower to help raise revenue and awareness for the Keep America Beautiful organization.  He previously completed a similar trip in 1999.

Hauter served as the men’s assistant at Rose-Hulman for two seasons before taking over as men's coach in 2003.

Previously, he was the head men’s soccer coach at Saint Mary’s University (Minn.). He compiled the highest winning percentage in the 28-year history of the school’s program with a record of 57-41-6 in six seasons.

Hauter played professional soccer in the United States from 1988-1998 after enjoying a stellar career at DePauw University from 1983-87. The psychology major earned a United States Soccer Federation National Coaching License in 1995, and completed a course in media training at Edelman Public Relations in 1998.

Off the field, Hauter was the founder and director of "Off the Streets", a non-profit organization formed in Chicago to help the homeless. He authored a soccer coaching manual entitled The Invisible Game in 1994, and has directed camps at various levels for 15 years.

Prior to accepting the head position at Saint Mary’s University, Hauter served as assistant soccer coach at Gustavus Adolphus, Judson and DePauw.

Hauter, 41, and his wife Charlotte are the parents of twins, son Christian and daughter Anna.
