BLUFFTON, OHIO -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's tennis winning streak reached six matches with 9-0 victories over Bluffton and Mount St. Joseph on Saturday.

With the victories, the Fightin' Engineers improved to 9-7 on the season and 6-1 in league play.  Rose-Hulman also secured the No. 2 seed for next month's HCAC men's tennis tournament.

The Engineer effort included six players with two singles and doubles wins. 

Junior Scott Grubbs (Wildwood, Mo.) and junior Michael Schoumacher (Memphis, Tenn.) earned two wins at the No. 1 and 2 singles slots, then teamed up for a pair of No. 1 doubles victories.

Sophomore Alex Gumz (Palatine, Ill.) won at No. 3 singles, then combined with No. 4 singles winner Dallas Burton (Haughton, La.) for two second slot doubles victories.

Sophomore Brent Frizzell (Avon) and sophomore Cameron Twarek (Crawfordsville) rounded out the effort with fifth and sixth singles wins, and team victories at the No. 3 doubles position.

Rose-Hulman improved to 9-7 on the season and 6-1 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play.  The Engineers return to action with a home match against Greenville on Tuesday.
