TERRE HAUTE, IND. - Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology senior Ron George (Louisville, Ky./Manual)
has been named Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's
Basketball Player of the Week for his efforts at the
Manhattanville Castle Classic last weekend.
George
earned a spot on the Manhattanville Castle Classic
all-tournament team after helping the Engineers finish 1-1 and
earn second place honors.
George averaged 20.5 points,
3.0 steals, 2.5 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game, highlighted
by a career-high 22 points in the championship game against
Manhattanville. For the week, George shot 63% from the
field and hit all five of his free throw attempts.
Rose-Hulman returns to action with a matchup
at Fontbonne University on Tuesday at 8 p.m. Indiana time.
