TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology improved to 5-5 on the men's basketball season with a 70-60 victory over Cincinnati-Clermont on Monday night at Hulbert Arena.

Senior Brian Bibb (Hoopeston, Ill.) led a pair of Engineers in double figures with 17 points and nine rebounds.  Junior Jared Moore (Indianapolis/Perry Meridian) added 11 points, six rebounds and five assists.

Other key contributors in the balanced effort included junior Phil Sundling (Huntington/ North) with six points, seven assits and four rebounds; junior Ross Uthoff (Crete, Ill./Lutheran Academy) with a career-high eight points; and junior Lorenzo Rice (Grandview, Mo.) with seven points off the bench.

Stefan Dunn led all scorers for Cincinnati-Clermont with 25 points but was held to 8-21 from the field by a solid team defensive effort.

Ron George drives to the bucket for two points.
The Engineers shot 42% from the field in the first and improved to 50% in the second to claim the 10-point victory.

Cincinnati-Clermont jumped out to a seven-point lead midway through the first half on back-to-back field goals by Trevor Donald.  The Engineers rallied with six straight points, including a trey by Uthoff, to move within 24-23 with 7:00 remaining in the half.

Rose-Hulman rallied to knot the score at 29-29 on a trey by Bibb, before a three-pointer by junior Ron George (Louisville, Ky./ Manual) and a score by Moore gave the Engineers a 35-29 lead at the break.

In the second half, Rose-Hulman pushed the lead as high as 15 points at 49-34 with 11:51 left on a score by Rice.  Cincinnati-Clermont cut the margin to as little as eight points but could not overcome steady free throw shooting in the final minutes by the Engineers.

Rose-Hulman returns to action on Wednesday with a home matchup against Tri-State University.  Cincinnati-Clermont dropped to 8-7 on the year.
