TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology
junior Jason Bednarko (Athens, Ill.) has earned third-team
ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District recognition, in balloting by
college sports information directors released today.
Bednarko ranks second on the
team in scoring at 9.5 points per game, highlighted by a career-high
22-point effort at Hanover. He has reached double figures in
scoring 10 times this season.
Bednarko's other top
performances include 19 points in a January win over Anderson, and
back-to-back 16-point games against Fontbonne and Earlham.
In the classroom, the civil
engineering major is a Dean's List honoree during every academic
quarter of his college career, and is a member of the American
Society of Civil Engineers and the Alpha Lambda Delta honor
society.
Rose-Hulman stands 8-15 overall
and 4-10 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play. The
Engineers host Defiance College in Senior Day on Saturday at 1 p.m.
