TERRE HAUTE, IND. – Rose-Hulman
Institute of Technology sophomore Drew Christy (Fillmore/ South
Putnam) continues to show improvement following an automobile
accident that originally left the defensive back in critical
condition.
Christy has been moved home
following a lengthy stay in Indianapolis.
The webpage with updates,
information and tributes from friends has garnered more than 305,000
internet hits since the accident. The page is available at

Several benefit events have
been held on behalf of Drew and his family. The city of
Greencastle hosted an event attended by several hundred at South
Putnam High School. Also, the Rose-Hulman
campus wore T-shirts with that have been created in support of Drew,
with the phrase "The Most Important Day is TODAY" and his jersey No.
7 included. There have also been several prize giveaways on
campus, with all proceeds supporting the efforts.
The biomedical engineering
major carries a grade point average above 3.80 and was nominated for
the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Team last fall.
Christy is a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and has earned
Dean's List accolades during each quarter of his academic career.
On the gridiron, Christy led
Rose-Hulman with three interceptions and forced a pair of fumbles
last season. The Fightin' Engineers finished with a 7-3 record
in 2007.
