Crowds flocked to Rose-Hulman for Indianapolis

For the fourth consecutive year, the Indianapolis Colts set a new training
camp attendance record, as 21,773 fans made their way to Rose-Hulman
Institute of Technology this month.A record turnout of national
media also welcomed the Super Bowl contending Colts squad.
Television media attending Rose-Hulman during training camp includes
NBC television (highlighted
by a visit from analyst John Madden), CBS television, ESPN television
and the NFL Network.

Other national media outlets at camp included USA Today, Sirius
Satellite Radio, Dave Goldberg of the New York Associated Press
bureau, Jackie McMullen of the Boston Globe and Peter King of Sports Illustrated.
Large crowds continued to attend Colts Training
Camp, highlighted by a crowd of more than 4,100 for practice and
Colts City activities on August
2. Over 2,500 fans attended an August 5
scrimmage that featured the first public appearance of the new Colts
mascot.

In addition, a record crowd of more than 550 attended the
Rose-Hulman Employees and Alumni Annual Picnic at the Sports and
Recreation Center on Aug. 2. The festivities included the
naming of the
second annual Colts Minority Science and Engineering Scholarship recipients.
Indianapolis Colts head coach Tony
Dungy told the Terre Haute Tribune-Star that the team was excited to
return to Rose-Hulman.
"The people are great. Tremendous facilities. They have
everything that we need and now they know the routine that we’re in.
It’s just an ideal place for us to come and train,"
said Dungy.
The Colts and Rose-Hulman have partnered for training camp since
1999, a span that has seen the club amass a 77-35 regular-season
record. The Colts host the Seattle Seahawks on August 20 at 8
p.m. on NBC in their second preseason game.
