The Indianapolis Colts training camp at Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology attracted a camp record 20,131 fans over a three-week
period in July and August.
The total surpasses the previous mark of 18,895 set in 2004.
A memorable Saturday night practice that drew a Cook Stadium record
crowd of 6,130 served as the camp highlight.
National media outlets to visit Rose-Hulman during the 2005
training camp included ESPN, FOX Sports, the NFL Network, USA Today
(which
featured Rose-Hulman's academic reputation in an article), The New
York Times, the Philadelphia Enquirer, Sports Illustrated,and The Sporting News.
In addition, the Colts
announced the first two
Colts Minority Science and Engineering Scholarship recipients,
who will each receive a four-year, full-tuition scholarship to
Rose-Hulman, on July 30.
The Colts and Rose-Hulman have partnered for training camp since
1999, a span that has seen the club amass a 63-33 regular-season
record. That record stands as the third-best in the National
Football League and the best in the American Football Conference
over the past six regular seasons.
