RH-MIG meets every Wednesday from 5:30 - 7:00 PM EST in Myers Presentation Room (M137) located in Myers Hall.  The first Wednesday of the month is a general club meeting which all active members should attend.  Various logistical issues are discussed, plans for the current month's activites are made, and the floor is open to member feedback on how to improve the operation of the club.  The remaining weekly meetings/activities vary by topic - attend the ones that interest you.  Some will include guest speakers from off campus, others will be headed by students or faculty.  To see a current schedule of events click here.

May 2004

Friday the 14th: Apple open house on the Union patio - live music, demos, and more!  If you are interested in the "digital lifestyle" including digital music, photography, movie making, and sound mixing/editing - be sure to stop by and see us!  We will have a wealth of information about the club as well as general information from Apple about their new hardware and software.  We will move from the patio to the quad later in the evening to participate in the Fine Arts Festival in case you miss us.  Time TBA.

Wednesday the 19th: TJ Terry from the Apple store in Indy will visit Rose to demonstrate some of the new features in iLife '04 - including iTunes and the iPod, GarageBand, iPhoto, iMove, and iDVD.  If you are interested in the digital lifestyle, want to try your hand at movie and DVD editing, build an iTunes library, and share your digital photos to families and friends, be sure to attend!  TJ will also answer any of your questions about the Mac OS in general and give tips on how to switch from PC to Mac.  Time and location TBA.

Monday the 24th: "How and Engineer Can Switch to a Mac" Seminar in Myers Presentation Room.  Seniors looking to purchase a new computer to replace their four year old Rose laptop should attend this seminar. Matt will go over advantages to using the Mac OS and do a side by side comparison of the Mac and Windows environments using the dual projectors in M137. It is not too late to use your student discount while you still can!

Wednesday the 14th: RH-MIG officer elections will take place at the weekly meeting in M137.  Any active members who wish to vote on officers for the 2004-2005 academic year, please attend.

Tentative: Apple Seminar for Rose faculty and administration.
