The Cecil T. Lobo Student Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers offers civil engineering students an opportunity to broaden themselves in their future profession. It provides the students with a chance to meet practicing civil engineers and learn from their experiences.

The A.S.C.E. sponsors field trips and guest speakers in order to relate the theory of the classroom to the practicality of the real world. Additionally, the organization participates in many on and off campus community service activities. Membership in the A.S.C.E. is a significant step toward becoming a professional civil engineer.
