Newly renovated Logan
Library created for today's students
The John A. Logan Library reopened after a summer of reconstruction in 2010. The library now welcomes students with new study spaces designed for today's students. A Rose-Hulman education encourages collaborative group work, and Logan Library provides open spaces for group study, individual study rooms that seat four, as well as conference rooms. With librarians, databases, periodicals and books at their disposal, students have everything they need for productive study sessions.
The renovation totally transformed the library, originally opened in 1970. Plentiful electrical outlets allow students to conveniently plug in almost anywhere. The main floor houses the study spaces, while books are on the floor above. The Digital Resource Center, which provides software and hardware support, custom video editing, and interactive flash projects, is located at the back of the main floor. The front of the library houses a new café with evening hours for late-night study sessions.
Named for Rose-Hulman's 10th president (1962-1976), Logan Library is located in the heart of campus north of Olin Hall and west of Moench and Crapo Halls. It is home to the Learning Center and Army ROTC office and also houses the outstanding Tri Kappa Art Collection.
