Welcome to the Institutional Research, Planning & Assessment Office

Our mission is to plan, design, and implement strategies for the collection and analysis of data and report information to support the evolving needs of faculty and administrators in the education of Rose-Hulman students and to be recognized as a national leader in institutional research and the assessment of student learning.

The IRPA office supports activities that happen behind the scenes at Rose-Hulman. Our research activities help institutional management, operations, planning, policy-formation and decision-making. We also support various initiatives and oversee efforts aimed at understanding and improving student learning.

Services

  • classroom assessment support via survey research, focus group, discussion forum, testing, and course evaluation administration;
  • faculty research grant support;
  • program and institutional assessment and accreditation support;
  • data collection and analysis;
  • institutional/external reporting; and
  • conference planning.
