Brazilian Day at Rose-Hulman
Brazilian Day attracted 600 participants to the Rose-Hulman campus to be introduced to Brazilian culture and lifestyles, compliments of the institute’s Brazilian Science Without Borders (SWB) students.
Joining the festivities were 132 Brazilian SWB students from other universities and colleges from eight states. Guests also included Indiana state government officials, the Consulate General of Brazil in Chicago, and company representatives from General Electric, Tupy, FitzMark Inc., and Braskem.
Activities included professional development sessions, posters, videos, and presentations about Brazil. There was also Brazilian music, dance demonstrations, and social activities. Participants also learned about the U.S.-Brazil diplomacy, strategic partnerships, and information about the cultural and academic exchanges between the two countries.
