Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology presented bachelor’s and master’s degrees to 442 students during the 135th commencement on Saturday, May 25. Two alumni from the Class of 1969 received honorary doctor of engineering degrees: G. Felda Hardymon (commencement speaker), a 1969 mathematics alumnus, professor at the Harvard Business School and London School of Economics, and successful venture capitalist; and Robert Hillis, president, chief executive officer, and founder of Direct Supply, Inc. Members of the Class of 2013 were recognized for academic, leadership, extracurricular activities, and helping make Rose-Hulman a better place. Meanwhile, faculty and staff members were honored for their teaching, research, and service to the institute.
