Winter 2006-07
- January AMS meeting in New Orleans, Robert Lemke -Oliver and Ian Rogers present posters on REU
research.
Fall 2006-07
- Thursday, November 30: Rose-Hulman Mathematics awarded a three-year grant renewal as an NSF-REU
site. Kurt Bryan and David Fin Co-PI's Josh Holden Senior Investigator. This makes 21 years of
continuous funding for the Rose-Hulman site. Over 130 students have have been though the program
to date, working with six faculty. REU site
- Saturday, November 11: Over 400 scholars from 26 high schools in Indiana, Illinois, Iowa and
Memphis Tennessee, compete in RHIT High School Math Contest, Terre Haute South is the overall winner (news

- November: Diane Evans, along with colleagues wins ICS prize form INFORMS for best collection
of papers using computing in operations research (news

- Kurt Bryan's REU team Hilary Spring and Shannon Talbot, wins $100 prize at the same poster

- Thursday, March 24 - Angela K. Smiley, Computer Science/Mathematics major, wins Goldwater Scholarship.
Angela, along with Amelia M. Huehls, are two of only five Indiana students to win the scholarship
this year. There have only been two RHIT previous winners in the last 10 years (news
