Area Advisors:

blue dot The Area Minor in East Asian Studies has the following requirements:
  1. Three courses (or proficiency) in Japanese Language.
        
  2. Four courses selected from the following:
    • GL184 Introduction to East Asia
    • GL207 Asian Religions and Philosophy
    • GL282 Japanese Society
    • GL306 Japanese Values and Technological Development
    • GL324 Japan in the 20th Century
    • GL363 Japanese Politics and Public Policy
    • GL437 Japanese Society Through Film
       
  3. Three other courses, one each in Rhetoric and Expression, Self and Society, and Values and Contemporary Issues.
       
  4. Substitutions may be made with the approval of the Area Minor Adviser.
